Not the same as previous coconut cream
This is my second order of the coconut cream.. The first order was great, nice and thick and creamy and great for coffee instead of dairy cream. So I ordered 12 more because of the 20% discount. When I got this order I had to check and make sure it was the cream instead of the milk as it was not creamy at all. In fact it was watery. I know there is no water in it but it's definitely not the same. I'm disappointed and wondering if this batch was not as good. Customer service did not offer any satisfaction. I believe a product should be consistent and not sure I will order as I can't afford to pay for a product that is not consistent.
I just received my first order of coconut cream. Oh my goodness! It's so good! It's the best tasting coconut product I've tried -- and I have tried them ALL. It tastes *exactly* like fresh coconut. Soooo good. It makes other products taste overly processed by comparison. The cream is nice and thick, like the stuff that floats to the top of better canned coconut milk. Perfect for coffee. Perfect for eating with a spoon!
This is by far the best tasting coconut milk/cream product I have ever had. It is very rich and creamy and tastes much fresher than the stuff in the can. I made ice cream with just two packages of this and a melted 70% Lindt bar and some vanilla extract and it was delicious. I have also been whipping it and topping mangos with it and it really does whip up like they claim it does. I also use it for thai curries and love it. It's also really good in smoothies and as a coffee creamer. I ordered both the milk and cream last time, but in the future I will just order the cream and water it down myself when needed.
This is a diet SAVER
I first used this product while on the HCG diet. Now I continue to use it because it is so versatile! Since I cannot eat dairy, this is a wonderful substitute cream that is simple to dress up as a whipped cream or a cream sauce for bakery items. For instance, I LOVE to mix it with Chocolate Protein Powder and use as a topping on the Cinnamon Muffins from elanaspantry.com. I am so thankful for this product!
Lumpless coconut cream
This makes great cream for coffee and tea. As someone mentioned, it does have lumps, but they're easy to deal with. I make 1 quart batches at a time because we go through it fast. I sift the powder into hot, but not boiling water (it will curdle). Then I throw the lumps into a ziplock bag. Next time, I whack the bag of lumps with a rubber hammer. The lumps turn into powder again right away with little effort (I do it the next time or they will lump again).
