Non-fermented cacao powder is raw and created by cold-pressing raw, organic cacao beans into a pressed cake separating the oil (cacao butter) from the protein and fiber. The temperature is never allowed to exceed 120° F and is usually 104° F (all other cocoa powders are exposed to temperatures as high as 300° F!). A high-accuracy thermometer monitors the process. The remaining dry 'cake-like' material is then cold-ground and fine-milled so that only the finest raw cacao particles become the finished product.

WFN non-fermented cacao powder is USDA certified organic and raw. This powder comes from a small family farm where they grow their crops on their own land, using the same sustainable methods that have been used for generations. It is imported from the Dominican Republic and packed by Wilderness Family Naturals in the USA.

This raw cacao powder has antioxidant activity as exhibited by an ORAC score of 1549 μmol TE/g, higher than any other raw cacao powder.

My morning kale smoothies taste like a chocolate energy milk shake when using this Wilderness Family Naturals "Cacao Powder" along with a banana, some almond butter, milk of your choice, and 1/2 of an avocado. True comforting blissfulness!!!

Perfect in a Protein Shake

The WFN non fermented cacao powder is the perfect morning addition to my daily whey protein shake. It adds just the right bite to chocolate or vanilla whey protein powder. Add some ice, banana, vanilla bean yogurt ice cream, walnuts, honey and top it off with a small Starbuck's coffee packet and you've got the perfect morning drink to start the day. Refreshing!

Cacao Powder Non-Fermented

Excellent product. Has replaced coffee for me for a hot drink. One cup a day prevents me from having chocolate cravings the rest of the day. As a diabetic this product facilitates my blood sugar control, provides me a healthy source of flavorful, satisfying stimulant that facilitates my positive approach to stable blood sugar and I enjoy every drop.

I love your non-fermented cacao! It's a bit stronger than fermented cacao, but it's smooth and rich. It's my new favorite and I will not willingly use any other cacao for my daily hot cocoas and chocolate recipes.

Great tasting cacoa

I found this when I searched for an alternative to Hershey's, etc. It's smooth, slightly sweet, and tastes like the cocoa I used to use in a mocha latte when I worked at Starbucks. It bakes well, too. It mixes better in hot liquid.
