Meadowsweet herb is native to Europe, but it can now be found in North America and northern Asia as well. It grows up to 6 feet tall and produces clusters of yellow flowers. Meadowsweet grows best in damp places, ditches, river banks, etc. In the middle ages, the plant was called meadwort because it was used as a flavoring for mead.
