Product Description
Hand Parched Wild Rice is actually the exact same rice as the Canadian Jumbo, except it goes through a rougher parching process.

This process mimics the hand parching the Ojibwa Indians performed for centuries. By using this process, the grains of rice receive more "scoring" on the outer bran layer, hence a lighter colored grain and a faster cooking time.

This rice has a slightly nuttier flavor and some may feel it is a little softer. Like all real lake rice, this rice can be served all by itself with no added ingredients, although it is fabulous with a little butter and salt!
