Wilderness Family Naturals has developed a gluten-free flour blend and a number of recipes for our customers who want to eat gluten-free. This flour blend is made of Organic Coconut Flour, Organic Sorghum Flour, Organic Almond Meal and Organic Tapioca Flour. Xanthan gum does not need to be added, but can be added to make your recipe a little lighter. This blend can be used for raised breads as well as quick breads, pie crusts, cookies and more.
This blend of Gluten-Free Flours contains coconut flour, sorghum flour, almond flour and tapioca root. While most flour blends contain millet, potato and rice flours which are high in carbohydrates and low in fiber, this blend is high in fiber and contains both medium chain fatty acids from the coconut flour and polyunsaturated oils from the almond flour.
This blend can be used for all types of baked goods which include pancakes, muffins, quick breads, raised breads (using yeast), and meat pies (like chicken or beef pot pie).
